Strong Women, Strong Societies

The role of women is key in society in peacetime, but during war, they are one of the categories that suffer the most, carrying the invisible front: taking care of children, the elderly and the country's economy.

In February 2024, we gathered 32 women from Ukraine for the psychological recovery program.  Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and collaborators, we organized activities such as:

• Sessions with highly qualified psychologists.
• Support from the municipality of Jávea, which financed meals in the local school canteen.
• Delivery of 17 boxes of clothes donated by a volunteer family from Denmark who have their clothing store in the historic center of Jávea.
• Visit to the Jávea fish market.
• Flamenco dance classes by Mercedes, a volunteer from Denia.
• Excursions to Alicante and Valencia.
• Visits to beauty salons "Status" in Jávea.

We are grateful for the support of the Rotary Club Jávea, the town hall and the people of Jávea.
